COMPANY EXPECTATIONS

REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

  • Time commitment can be tailored to each individuals life, goals and interests. We have some dancers who dance 3-5 hours a week and some who dance 15 plus hours a week. Each age group has a different set of required hours. Our schedule also allows for dancers to add more hours if desired.

  • CLASS TUITION +

Competition fees, costume fees, convention fees and rehearsal fees will vary depending on how many group dances a dancer participates in. The more dances, the higher the costs.

For individual breakdowns, please see COMPANY PACKET 2023-2024.

  • Please refer to the company packet for tuition fees. The company packet will be studio / company policy and failure to meet financial expectations may result in student being asked to withdrawal from rehearsals, classes, and/or performances.

Scholarships may be considered on a case by case basis.

  • You have asked for it or about it and we’re brining it. We’re staying up to date with what your dancer needs to succeed!

CONVENTIONS — WORKSHOPS — PROFESSIONAL PREP — MASTER CLASS SERIES

  • Students interested in solos must be in multiple group numbers and will be evaluated based on commitment and attitude. Dancers can be involved in 3-15 routines.

  • CODE OF CONDUCT & EXPECTATIONS

At the studio, conventions, competitions, and studio related events, DANCERS & PARENTS are expected to conduct themselves with respect, timeliness, professionalism, kindness, teamwork, and patience.

We will follow a “three strikes, you’re out” kind of policy should we experience poor behavior by the student and/or the parent.

    DANCERS are expected to :

—Arrive on time and if possible, warmed up. (warm up may or may not be included in the hour session)

—Communicate with respect, compassion, and clarity.

—Treat the other dancers and performers inside DDS with respect, kindness, patience, and compassion.

—Lead with love and help to other dancers and performers inside DDS.

—Rehearse and practice in between rehearsals, keep their own rehearsal videos, and come to each session with all necessary shoes and dance wear that is requested by the director.

—It is the responsibility of each performer to review and rehearse in between each rehearsal session. It is not my responsibility to review, but rather to go on in order to serve the routine and group as a whole.

—Come to each session with THEIR PERSONAL BEST of that day. I believe that “your best” adjusts each day and I will meet you there. However, the session is meant to be hard, beautiful, artistic work and I do expect the dancer to meet the effort that I will be providing in each session.

—A parent / dancer / owner conversation will be requested in an effort to help assess why unkind behavior has frequently occurred and if any help can be offered to the dancer on our end (Ms. Taylor + DDSS)

DANCERS are strongly ENCOURAGED to :

—Maintain any at-home workout / training regimens that Ms. Kellie provides or suggests.

—Incorporate self care into the balance of their weekly schedules.
